چکیده
Metal bulk forming is widely used because of its own advantages. In order to improve the production efficiency and reduce cost, numerical simulation often analyze volume process. Because large deformation non-linearity process, finite element method (FEM) has problem distortion, which will affect accuracy even lead failure analysis this paper, an adaptive (AFEM) proposed solve problem. Firstly, model established, grids are roughly divided. After analysis, according error calculation model, area with determined by standard deviation nominal strain energy nodes. Then, refined dichotomy method, continued, repeating step until meets requirement. Finally, forging process bulge formed joint taken as example prove method.

An Adaptive Surface Finite Element Method Based on Volume Meshes
In this paper we define an adaptive version of a recently introduced finite element method for numerical treatment of elliptic partial differential equations defined on surfaces. The method makes use of a (standard) outer volume mesh to discretize an equation on a two-dimensional surface embedded in R3. Extension of the equation from the surface is avoided, but the number of degrees of freedom ...
متن کاملAn Adaptive Finite Element Method
We develop an adaptive nite element algorithm for reactive ow simulations. The underlying equations are the Navier-Stokes equations for low-Mach-number ows and an additional system of convection-diiusion-reaction equations for the chemical species. Especially in combustion problems the reaction terms are very stii and nonlinear. This set of equations represents a complicated system of PDEs whic...
متن کاملDetermination of Buckling Limit of Strain in Cold Roll Forming through Finite Element Analysis
In this study, Buckling Limit of Strain (B.L.S.) is introduced as one of the most important limiting factors in cold roll forming process. B.L.S. is calculated by the finite element procedure. Then for two particular processes with existing analysis and experimental results, B.L.S. has been determined and evaluated. LUSAS 12.3 is used for finite element analysis. The results show that when buck...
متن کاملA Super - Element Based on Finite Element Method for Latticed Columns Computational Aspect and Numerical Results
This paper presents a new super-element with twelve degrees of freedom for latticed columns. This elements is developed such that it behaves, with an acceptable approximation, in the same manner as a reference model does. The reference model is constructed by using many Solid elements. The cross section area, moments of inertia, shear coefficient and torsoinal rigidity of the developed new elem...
